
In a series of unsanctioned tweets on the Juventus-affiliated account @juventusfcen made their way to the digital web today.
Several tweets were in Turkish, some made reference to Super Lig giants Fenerbahce, while the most ‘popular’ tweet of the day came in the form of a fake-announcement regarding the signing of Turkey international Arda Guler.
Juventus, confirmed in the early hours of the afternoon in a post on their Italian language account, that they have been hacked.
They have also informed supporters to ignore suspicious posts being published on their English account for the time being while the social media and IT team get to the bottom of the cyber attack.
“Our Juventus English account has been compromised. Please ignore the false information being published on this account. We are working on the issue,” Juventus wrote in an official statement on Monday afternoon.
