A public affairs Commentator and librarian comrade Joel Afolayan has said Nigain’s crisis is as a result of removed subsidy as the quality of life has notImproved in the nation.
Afolayan made this Comment while Featuring on Diamond Fm, Ilorin Kwara State’s morning programme tagged “Diamond Breakfast Show ” on Tuesday 3rd September, 2024.
It will be recalled that the NNPCL in a revelation on Sunday made mention of the state of oil sector where it was confirmed that
It owes a sum of 6 billion us dollar debt to petrol suppliers which has now brought about serious financial strain on their operation.
Afolayan has questioned the truthfulness of NNPCL as their previous declaration of making profits now contradicts their recent news on debt.
“If you are owing that amount after declaring profit then something is wrong somewhere.”
He further stated that truth is constant regardless of the situation and no one needs to be intelligent to be truthful.
“Truth is constant , ether in the dark or broad daylight”
Afolayan also commented on the former vice president’s criticism, Atiku Abubakar. Atiku called out and criticized NNPCL for deceit and lack of transparency where he also questioned the profit generated and proclaimed by NNPC.
Afolayan said that the quality of life has not Improved and every citizen is paying the price Including the apolitical and those who are sympathetic to the government .
According to him, NNPCL proclaimed to have made a huge amount of profit of about 3.12 trillion naira which the president instructed to be used to settle the shortfall which could be referred to as subsidy. He expressed that the current crisis is as a result of removing subsidy.
“We are in this crisis because of removed subsidy…why will you allow the labour of Nigerians to go in vain.”
He concluded by Saying that it is Impossible to stop blaming the government as they keep showing irresponsibility on their part.
