Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has announced that the state government will launch its own local security outfit before the end of May, 2024.

The governor stated this during the All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders’ meeting in Makurdi, stressing that the initiative was aimed at complementing the efforts of other security agencies in tackling security challenges tormenting the state

Governor Alia revealed that his administration is already working towards procuring vehicles and motorcycles that would enable the security outfit to access the nooks and crannies of the state.
