The former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, has resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated December 16 and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Ubadawaki, Kwara State, confirmed his decision.
Mr. Abdullahi, who did not disclose his next move, revealed to DiamondFM today (16th December, 2024) through a telephone conversation that his next political move would be communicated in due course, thereby dousing rumours of him joining the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
“The letter is simple enough and I would love to stick to that. The public will definitely be carried along with respect to my intentions in future. Thank you” says the Former Minister of Sports and Youth Developments.
Reflecting on his resignation, he expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership for the opportunities he had while serving the state and country.
Mr. Abdullahi was the PDP candidate for Kwara Central in the 2023 senatorial election, which he lost to Salihu Mustapha of the APC.
