The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Fate–Tanke District Church Council has called on the Federal and State Governments, particularly in Kwara and Kogi States to intensify efforts in securing lives and properties of the people.
The call was made in a Communique issued on Friday at the end of its 20th Council meeting held in Ilorin that lasted over eleven-hour.
It acknowledged the recent breakthrough by the security agencies and the government especially the release of twenty three kidnapped victims and also decried the continued displacement of innocent Nigerians from their ancestral homes due to violent attacks and criminal activities.
The Council called for more concerted efforts to solve the security challenges and also charged the Church and all Christians to rise in earnest prayer and fasting for the deliverance of the land, reaffirming that “the Church must remain the light of the world, interceding for peace and healing for our nation.”
The meeting graced by the revered presence of Rev’d Dr. R. S. Omotosho, other past DCC leaders, Heads of Departments (HODs), and delegates from all eleven (11) Local Church Councils (LCCs). A total of forty-two (42) members attended the meeting across board.
Council recognized digitization as an indispensable tool in today’s ministry landscape and urged Pastors and Church leaders to embrace technology and social media for evangelism, while maintaining strict adherence to ECWA’s doctrinal standards and operational guidelines.
