El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, has revealed his decision to launch an inquiry into bribery allegations against members of his government, including himself, in a bid to rid the government of corruption.
This is according to a video posted via X (formerly known as twitter) on Bukele official page, asking the Attorney General to oversee the investigation.
He emphasized that he desists from stealing because he refuses to be remembered as a corrupt leader.
Bukele further expressed his concern about leaving a negative legacy and cited past presidents who were tainted by association with corruption.
