Chelsea have initiated discussions with Benjamin Sesko and Michael Olise, aiming to disrupt the transfer plans of Arsenal and Manchester United.
Arsenal had been seen as frontrunners for RB Leipzig’s Sesko, with manager Mikel Arteta eager to strengthen his attacking line-up this summer.
According to Foot Mercato, Chelsea have reached out to Sesko’s representatives as they target summer signings for new manager Enzo Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea is reportedly negotiating with RB Leipzig to intercept Arsenal’s pursuit, mirroring their January 2023 hijacking of Mykhailo Mudryk’s transfer.
Chelsea’s owner, Todd Boehly, is set to support Maresca in the transfer market, including a push for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.
Despite Manchester United’s interest in Olise, the report added that Chelsea have also engaged with Olise’s agents and Crystal Palace, who demand at least £60m for the former Super Eagles invitee.
