The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN, has announced a rehabilitation plan to strengthen 46 abandoned housing projects in the country.
The FMBN Managing Director, Shehu Usman Osidi, revealed this while hosting the management of development banks recently in Abuja, while stressing that the bank had made reviving the housing estates a priority.
The bank further stated that this would be achieved through a partnership with Shelter Afrique Development Bank, a pan-African finance institution, and the collaboration will help attract other mortgage developers in Nigeria.
Osidi further revealed that Nigeria will scout for areas of funding to achieve its target of delivering 100,000 housing units to Nigerians this year.
