Rivers State Governor, SIMINALAYI FUBARA, has presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill to five members of the state House of Assembly loyal to him.

The presentation of the budget was held at a hall in the Government House, apparently, due to the demolition of the House of Assembly complex and alleged renovation work at the state assembly complex which started this morning.

MEANWHILE, the 27 members of the House loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, NYESOM WIKE, were not present at the budget presentation.

It could be recalled that the 27 lawmakers announced their defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All-Progressives Congress (APC) after Monday sitting but in reaction, chairman Rivers APC- EMEKA BEKE, while on a live television programme monitored by Diamond FM denied receiving any notice of their defection.
