Residents of Ganmo in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to urgently rehabilitate the bad road linking Akata, Agbabiaka, Pipeline and other communities.
They said the road has become a major challenge for residents, motorists and transport operators.

A community leader, Alhaji Tajudeen Saheed Al-Gamaawi, appreciated the government’s ongoing interventions in schools and other infrastructure but urged the government to address the road before the end of the administration. He said the route from Opeyemi Petroleum Station towards Agbabiaka and Ilorin could serve as an alternative route for motorists and help ease traffic congestion.
“This road is very important; please, for God’s sake, help us construct it. All vehicles coming from Idofian, Offa or Amoyo facing traffic on the main road could take this route from Ganmo.” He said
Transport workers and other residents also lamented the impact of the road’s poor condition on businesses, transportation and safety, particularly during the rainy season.
An Okada rider, Mr Abdullahi said, “It affects our business greatly because we have issues with vehicles and motorcycles. The passengers we transport also complain that the road is bad.”
Another resident, Atoyegbe said, “We believe that if they help us fix it, it will boost commercial growth in our community.”
They urged the government to complete the unfinished sections, stressing that the road would improve connectivity, boost commercial activities and provide easier access between Ganmo, Amoyo, Agbabiaka, Pipeline and surrounding communities.
