The founder and Chairman, Bright Broadcasting Limited, BBL, owners of Diamond FM Ilorin, Kwara State and Diamond FM, Ilesa Osun State, Apostle Oluwole Awotuyi, has charged Nigeria leaders at all levels to prioritize the nation and serve the land with all sense of patriotism.

Awotuyi said putting Nigeria first will strengthen unity across the country and guarantee the interest of the people.

He made the charge on Thursday, October 01, 2025, in a statement issued in Ilorin, Kwara State, to celebrate Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.

Awotuyi noted that the independence day celebration must not be in numbers alone, but an attestation that the nation and its people are genuinely free of hardship, worry and helpless thoughts.

The industrialist stressed the need to build a nation that offers succour to its citizens rather than the quest to emigrate to other nations where they become second class citizens.

Picking a bible verse from Psalm 122, verse 6, Apostle Awotuyi urged Nigerians to pray for the peace of the nation for spiritual restoration and national transformation.

The media proprietor asked the people to support the government and continue to participate actively in governance.

This, he said will put office holders on their toes and serve as a guide in decision making at all levels.

Awotuyi further prayed for the prosperity of the most populous black nation and wished Nigerians home and in the diaspora a glorious celebration.
