
Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has been commended for payment of the 2024 Medical Residency Training fund (MRTF).
The Association of Resident Doctors, Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin (ARD- KWASUTH), gave the commendation in Ilorin today (Sunday 27th October, 2024), through a statement jointly signed by Dr. Usman Abubakar, the President and Dr. Audu Jiya, the General Secretary, of the Association.
They expressed joy that MRTF will support the Resident Doctors working under Kwara.
According to the statement: “this gesture further convinces us that health is indeed one of your major priorities areas for the people of Kwara.
We are happy KWASUTH is taking shape to take up the challenge of providing quality healthcare to the people of State.
In return, the doctors in KWASUTH are ready to provide these excellent services”.
The association also appealed to Governor Abdulrazaq to resolve the challenge of shortage of manpower with the hospital facility.
“We know shortage of health workers is now a national crisis but that of KWASUTH has now reached an alarming threshold.
However, we believe with you piloting the affairs of the state, we know that this particular challenge will soon be a thing of the past,” the statement added.
