
The Labour Party in Kwara state today inaugurated interim executive members of its party in the state.
The National Deputy Secretary, and immediate past Chairman of the Party in the state, Comrade High Chief Kehinde Rotimi, who swore-in the new caretaker Executives of the party at the Labour House in Ilorin, tasked the new executives to prioritize delivering dividends of democracy to the masses and members to support the Honourable Ajibade-led leadership of the party in the state, stressing that their party is not factionised and has brighter future.
Addressing the press, the interim Chairman, Hon. Samson Adekunle Ajibade, said his immediate plan is to reposition the party in the state, while noting that preparation is in top gear for the party’s victory in the coming local government elections in the state.
Hon. Ajibade stated that all local government & ward executives and candidates forum for last elections stand dissolved, while members with alliance with other political parties without the approval of the party, including those that attended the Bauchi meeting led by Lamidi Apata remain suspended and decampees ceased to be party members.
The Caretaker executives include but not limited to Hon. Adekunle Ajibade (Chairman), Honourable Saliu Yahaya Kitab (Secretary), Ann Tosin Oluleye (Asst Secretary), Engr. Yinka Oladejo (PRO) among others.
