Minister of Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, during an interview has stated that Nigerians will suffer if the Organised Labour continues its nationwide strike.
Recall that the organized labour had on Monday embarked on an indefinite nationwide strike after the union failed to reach an agreement with the federal government over minimum wage.
Reacting to the development, the Minister lamented the effect of the shutdown of the strike on hospitals, schools, and offices and even the economy of the country will be affected, while also stressing that hospitals being inaccessible, and doctors not being able to perform their duties might lead to death of patients.
According to reports, the National Labour Congress (NLC), despite reaching an agreement with the Federal Government after a meeting on Monday night, has insisted on continuing the nationwide strike
