The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Geoffrey Nnaji, has resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s administration in a statement released by the Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who said that according to Nnaji , he was a target of blackmail by other political opponents.
On Tuesday, Nnaji rendered his resignation letter remmited to the President, thanking the President for allowing him to serve Nation. Remember Nnaji was appointed in August 2023.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday stating that, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, subsequent to some allegations against him.
Nnaji’s resignation came amid questions surrounding his academic qualifications and lingering controversies over an alleged certificate forgery from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
