The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has disclosed that it has neutralized top terrorist leaders Ali Dawud, Bakurah Fallujah, Mallam Ari, and other 30 fighters in Borno State.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet, made this known in a statement, saying that the airstrikes conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, targeted the hideouts of ISWAP terrorists camped within Kolleram village along the shores of Lake Chad.
According to the Director, the Battle Damage Assessment post-strike conducted revealed that over 30 terrorists were killed.
He said that alongside terrorists and their camps, the airstrikes also destroyed numerous vehicles, motorcycles, and logistical assets, thereby severely hampering their operational capabilities.
Gabkwet further stated that the success of the airstrikes demonstrated NAF’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of Nigerian citizens, stressing that airstrikes complement a crucial step forward in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria.
