The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recovered additional components from its ATR 42-500 aircraft that crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, as multi-agency teams continue search and recovery operations at the site.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the NAF said specialist divers from the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau were working alongside its recovery team.

The operation involves underwater searches, hydrographic surveys, satellite-based imagery, mud excavation and water pumping to access difficult areas.

The Air Force said the teams were working day and night to retrieve and preserve relevant materials for the ongoing investigation into the crash.
