A Nigerian man has come under heavy criticism online after crashing a car worth over N100 million during a high-speed race in Lagos on Sunday.
He sparked outrage as he turned to social media to seek financial assistance to repair the crashed Corvette Stingray 2022.
According to a video which went viral on X on Sunday, the event happened at the Eko Atlantic area while he was racing in the Corvette Stingray 2022 with a Jeep.
In the heat of the race, the man who tweeps as #trammania in the Corvette ran into a Dodge Challenger that was in the middle of the road.
His car ripped off the Dodge’s bumper in seconds and went further to crash down the road.
Meanwhile, he was fortunate to survive
After the accident, he turned to social media, asking for financial support from the public.
Following his plea for assistance, Nigerians slammed #trammania for asking for help.
A tweep, #iam__temmyyy said, “Imagine renting car to do drag race. You get mind sha. N400m loun loun …”
A user on X.com, who tweeps as @Bidal4Life said, “Everybody dey find generational wealth. E reach this one turn e go jam generational debt.”
While others blamed him for crashing the expensive car, a user, #Chuc__kki schooled him on how to engage in car race competition.

According to Motortrend, the 2022 Corvette is priced between $60,900 (N100.3 million) and $79,850 (N131.5 million).
