Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued an additional seven abducted students of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Kogi State.
PUNCH Online reported that the bandits on Thursday night, swooping into the university around 9 p.m. and abducted some students who were reading for their upcoming exams.

The bandits who reportedly came in through the bush, shooting into the air to scare the students, went into three lecture halls.
In a statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya on Thursday, he said the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun had deployed the Air Component of Police Security apparatus made up of helicopter crew specially trained for aerial surveillance, monitoring team as well as the state’s Technical Intelligence Unit.
The deployment was “in furtherance of the ongoing rescue operation and to sustain the onslaught on the suspected bandits that abducted the yet-to-be ascertained number of students of the Confluence State University, CUSTECH, last week Thursday.”
