The Jigawa State Police Command has said it will build a 100-hectare shooting range to enhance the training of its personnel in the state.
The spokesman for the command, Shiisu Lawan, stated this during an interview with news men in the state capital, Dutse.
He said the Jigawa State government had allocated 100 hectares of land in the Birnin Kudu Local Government Area for the project.
According to Shiisu, the facility would fast-track the training of police personnel in musketry and weapon handling, adding that it would also be utilised for Kano, Bauchi, Yobe, and Katsina commands.
