Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the adjustment of official working hours in the public service for the holy month of Ramadan.

This was disclosed in a statement issued today by the Chief Information Officer, Office of the Head of Service, Alhassan Sule Mamudo and made it available to newsmen.

According to the statement, the approved working hours are now Mondays to Thursdays between the hour of 8:00am to 3:00pm, while on Fridays would be from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

The adjustment covers the month of Ramadan (Fasting) only and normal working hours commence immediately after the month of Ramadan” the statement explained. It urged heads of ministries, departments and agencies to ensure compliance by all civil servants.
