Not fewer than four hundred indigenes selected across Kwara State have benefited from the empowerment program of the immediate past Senator that represented Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Ibrahim YAHAYA OLORIEGBE to mark his 63rd birthday anniversary.
Speaking with Journalists at the event which Senator OLORIEGBE said the empowerment was facilitated as part of the year 2023 Capital Projects of the National Directorate of Employment and was significantly supplemented with his private fund to assist the vulnerable in Ilorin Emirate and beyond to cushion the
effects of the fuel subsidy removal.
The medical doctor turned politician maintained that he is not in any competition with the current Senator of the District, Sen. SALIU MUSTAPHA, rather, he is genuinely synergizing with him and other incumbent public officers in achievable policy aimed at moving Kwara State forward.
He also charged all the beneficiaries to use the items judiciously to justify the confidence reposed in them by the donor.
Items distributed were Hundred Sewing machines, sixty Laptop Computers, thirty-three Motorcycle, three Tricycles, Seventy Freezers and hundred Grinding machines.
