The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP VICTOR OLAIYA, says the ban on the use of Fireworks popularly called banger, any and all other explosive devices is still enforced with anyone caught to face the wrath of the law.
CP OLAIYA gave the reminder (today) on Tuesday 19th December, 2023 through a statement signed and released in Ilorin by the command’s Public Relations Officer- DSP ADETOUN EJIRE-ADEYEMI.
The CP further enjoined citizens to be law-abiding, shunning all forms of criminal acts as he has ordered that all Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers, and Heads of Tactical Units in the command to provide maximum security within their area of responsibility before, during and after the yuletide.
“As we approach the forthcoming festivities in Kwara State, The Commissioner of Police, CP VICTOR OLAIYA, pse(+) extends his warm season greetings to the citizens of the state. The Command understands the excitement and passion that accompanies these celebrations” he said.
While extending his season’s greeting to residents in the state, the CP appealed to well meaning individuals to assist in promoting peace and harmony by reporting any suspicious movement to the nearest police station or via these emergency telephone numbers: 08125275046 or 07032069501.
